You can build a poker table at home. Visit poker supplies page for list of tools and materials needed. I used 3/4" 4'x 8' high quality birch plywood for the racetrack and lower quality plywood for rail. Put high quality plywood (sheet A in the video) on the table or on a set of horses then measure 24" from all 4 sides this will give you a mark to nail down a nail right on that mark, this will give you center point. Attach a string to one end of the nail and another end of string to a marking device.
This way you will be able to make an arc, repeat the process on the other side and once lines are drawn you can start cutting the marked lines using a jig saw or a router. After or before cuts are made, mark using the same method an arc that is 22" from center point. Then measure 14" from the center point (where nail is inserted) this way you will create another arc that will be a line between racetrack (finished stained wood) and playing surface. This cut has to be perfect because it will show on your end result.
Now we start working on second sheet of plywood that doesn't have to be high grade(sheet B in the video). This plywood will be used for rail and bottom of the table for support. Same thing measure 24" from all 4 sides, insert nail, attach string and draw a half circle. For this sheet of plywood measure 20" from center point and create an arc on both sides of plywood. Using a jig saw or router make the cuts. Put all pieces together as shown on the video and drill the holes
for cup holders (size varies on cup holders). Stain the racetrack with stain of your choice and the amount of coats you put on is up to you, don’t forget the final coat of poly to seal it. At this point woodwork is done.
Lay your rail foam (I used 1" high density foam) on the floor and put down the rail (4" side touching the foam) add 2" on outer and inner of the rail and mark it with a marker. Cut the marked foam using scissors then glue down foam to rail's wood.
Lay down your vinyl on the floor and put foamed rail on top then staple down the outer edge of the rail first. Stretch the vinyl around the end and pull it tight. Use lots of staples and stretch it as you staple it.
Once you put hundreds of staples on the outer edges start cutting the vinyl inside as shown on the video and on the picture bellow, leave 5-3 inches extra. Stretch and staple the arc first and staple sides in the end.
Glue down 1/4" foam to the playing surface piece of plywood and cut off extra using a blade or a knife. Lay down playing surface material and padded playing surface on top of fabric (I used velveteen) then stretch and staple the fabric to wood as shown on video and on picture bellow.
Put all the parts together and you got yourself a custom made poker table.
